The conference will be held at the Faculty of Energy Technology, Koroška 62a, 3320 Velenje. Velenje is 6th biggest Slovenian city and is the centre of Municipality Velenje with approx. 30.000 inhabitants. Velenje is one of the strongest economic centers in Slovenia, based on the energy, metal-processing, and domestic appliances production.

The Faculty of Energy Technology is a member of the University of Maribor and carries out its activities in the two of largest energy pools in Slovenia. In addition to the two largest systems for the production of electricity in Slovenia, Thermal Power Plant Šoštanj and Nuclear Power Plant Krško, a significant number of companies is directly or indirectly related to the energy sector in both local environments. The connection of the two local environments with the wider field of energy represents a significant added value for students at the faculty.
